LKOS 2011 was the best one yet. The rain held off and everyone had a great time!
Triathlon is a sport that combines swimming, cycling, and running. The Kids of Steel program offers a series of regional races geared towards children up to 19 years of age. The purpose of these races is to introduce young people and their parents (etc.) to the sport of Triathlon in a safe manner. Each of the triathlons is designed to be a fun and challenging event for children and youths. The Lindsay Kids of Steel is one of many such events across Ontario.
Participants who are not up to completing a whole race on their own are encouraged to form relay teams where each team member completes one leg of the race. Two person relay teams where one participant completes two legs of the race and the other completes one leg can be accommodated.
**All participating teams must be comprised of team members of the same gender and age category.**

Annual KOS membership is only $25.00 per year for those aged 15 and under (as of December 31st, in the year of competition). The annual membership for Juniors (aged 16 to 19) is $50.00 per year KOS athletes without a full year membership must purchase a $6.00 One Day Membership at each race.
